After 12 children, I imagine it’s not really difficult to put an egg in there.

With the blood diamond issue though, it was awareness on the consumer end that made the change. Fewer and fewer women want diamonds and those that do are much more aware of buying conflict free ones. The change was never going to come from the mines themselves, it came from the consumer. Same thing with Sea World

This was such a great read, also:

i was snickering through the whole thing.

Just realized that Rosario Dawson is a few years older than Charlie Cox too! The show definitely has some issues with its treatment of women, but at least they got the casting right.

And not just any 25-year-old, she has to be a nuclear physicist trapped in the body of a cheerleader who’s the only person in the world who can *help* the male hero solve whatever the problem is.

A 36 year old actress would be cast as the mother of a 32 year old male lead.

“Here’s some cyanide to treat those hot flashes you’ve been having.”

After menopause we may as well commit suicide.

Great use of the rule of 7, but we must remember that in Hollywood that 34.5 is actually the maximum age. We need a new name for this rule.

I did not REALIZE until I saw this just how huge these age gaps were. And you know, movies make everyone look younger...including the women O.O

55/2+7=34.5

Astonishment, sadness, anger, and laughter - all in quick succession? Sounds to me like Ms. Gyllenhaal is experiencing the rapid mood swings commonly associated with dementia

That should totally become a thing. Bonus days if you actually get laid afterward!

She didn’t even get a Last Fuckable Day party.

Well she *is* almost forty, the age when women apparently become invisible, pointless, and may as well be dead.

If they’d hired her, you know people would talk about how refreshing it was to see an “age-appropriate pairing.” I feel like in Hollywood once you’re a woman much over 35, they consider you “age appropriate” for anyone under 80.

At least she can laugh about it, because I’m still in the head-exploding stage. I’m in the same age-range as Ms. Gyllenhaal and my mom is in her mid-50’s (dad is late 50’s).

Shocking, I know! Sims 4 actually runs great. I know some people miss open world and hate the loading screens, but I was so glad to have a majority of the lag-inducing stuff gone. It takes a few more seconds to initially load the game, but it’s still faster than S3 ever was. Even though I have unplayed S3 content and

I’ve been a fan of the Sims franchise since the original. I never buy the stuff packs though, but even the expansions can add up in price. Some are worth it, some are not. I am enjoying the Get to Work xpac for Sims 4 quite a bit. The scientist career in particular is quite fun. Playing mad scientist with the
