hahah, oh the controversy that would have caused!
hahah, oh the controversy that would have caused!
YEAH!
Perhaps people are doing the comparisons in a sarcastic way to imply that fame by way of birth is a ridiculous thing because that person themself has done nothing but be born to the "right" people at the right time.
what do you mean?
Would the royals not be progressive enough to not factor in how white a future queen is thought?
Young Langston Hughes of course! He was a banging hottie around 25/26
Damnnnnnn, you picked a good one
Same here, when people ask shit like what are you, it just sounds like what can I mentally box you in as and how does that box make me want to treat you or ask about your physical features being "x" when you just told me that you are "y and z". Nobody needs to fucking know what type of brown person fucked that other…
you just spoke all my thoughts? are you psychic? thank you so much for posting this!
I never got why it mattered, like why do people want questions like "What are you?" validated anyways? What is my answer going to do for you? How does knowing what my ethnicity is necessary to you getting to know me?
is it bad that I read that whole page in a southern accent?!
He's an inspirational, intelligent, open hearted rapper who is openly gay and is on an independent label, I believe and has a huge tumblr fan base...and yeah, thats all I know
I see what your doing here, lol, I will never stop laughing at that article either!
Oh I understand, I saw that on here (jez website, like possibly last fall though) that Jesses Williams would be an onscreen fantasy for Finnick! I figured a very tan Wentworth Miller would be similar to what the casting directors seeked out.
Joanna Mason was one of the good choices to me too! Ehhh Finnick, ahh, they already know they could have done better. He was one of the characters with an extensive list of adjectives painting a picture of his appearance. I refuse to believe that they couldn't find a more Finnick-y looking moderately experienced actor.
this could be a lost in interpretation but I did in fact imagine her as black, I imagined many of the characters differently than their screen castings though. I never thought Jen Lawrence to be Katniss at all for one.
I read all the books in a day's time, i am familiar
ah, i see and you are well within your rights to not want to see that, the girl above is the casted enobaria, if she is black then i can't see it, she could be mixed race though
uh sorry random dude? can i ask why this makes you mad, i was kinda happy that a black person would have a supporting role in the movie, but of course they do not :( now im just a sad black girl going to the movies...maybe...i wanna see the rest of this casting.
She is black in the book!
