I remember when people were less gullible and weird cults usually involved people in silver bedsheets waiting for space aliens to come and take them to the stars.

Insurance companies goal is to maximize profits. One way to do that is to figure out ways use statistics to justify higher rates. For instance, in spite of having a perfect driving record for 30 years, my company sent me a birthday car on my 65th birthday, then the very next day raised my rates by $500 a year. Why?…

Countless Tesla stand have told me I was a halfwit for saying vision only is stupid, apparently because Elon has billions of dollars and I don’t. Apparently, it’s the quality of wits, not the quantity, or how rich you are from scamming people.

They are using an engine design based on the old 60s era Russian IL5, which was abandoned at the time due to safety and technical challenges and it’s tendency to explode. So far, I haven’t seen anything from SpaceX regarding technology for a manned mission that lands on a planetary surface.

The think is, NASA needs something that actually exists. So far the only thing Starship has done successfully is blow up. Like most things from the not so smartest guy in the world, it is just a fantasy at this point.
