We have two Pixel XLs. No problems for the last year. We must be in the 99% of unaffected phones.

Did you direct that comment at me for any reason in particular? Because it doesn’t seem to have anything to do with what I typed.

File lawsuit, lawyers get huge percentage of large settlement, you get a check for $1.50 7 years later. I’ve for better things to do. Glad I didn’t get an early model.

Streaming is just another aspect of the cloud, and the cloud is fucked. You are ALWAYS at someones else’s mercy on the cloud.

Great! I’m coming back into style!!

I’ve bought a lot of music in my time, and I have a large digital library because of it. I hate to say I use iTunes to tame it, but I got stuck in the architecture when a previous job gave me a MacBook to do work on, and listen to music.

-the old fogie at 33 walks in- I’ve never not owned my music (owned being a subjective term, thanks to napster etc) I don’t understand streaming (well, I *understand* it, but I don’t see the point in it). I’m not always somewhere where I have perfect service, wifi or not, and I’m not going to *pay* cellular fees

I think this really just hammers home the point that technology, while good, should be used sparingly. The are plenty of studies where people who spent large amount of time on phones, tablets, TV, or video games are generally less happy.

See, I converted my rather extensive CD library ages ago, so I actually have a larger library of music that I want to listen to than any of the other streaming services have available. The licensing problems alone are enough to keep me from subscribing.

Well shit, if you’re living a hour of your life per day in your phone’s Settings, you ought to be sad. So many questions. That’s like 10% of your waking life looking at settings. On your phone.

Yup, the streaming services are OK but after a while they get to be expensive and annoying. I browse thrift shops and used book stores for used CDs, borrow from the library, etc., and have a great collection for far less than what I would spend on streaming stuff.

I think it was a few weeks ago a similar topic came up. I like buying CDs (because I’m old) on Amazon because they also make your purchase streamable on their Amazon Music app and they’ll give you the mp3 version.

Mine’s just a boring gala apple with some nut butter. I haven’t gotten tired of it yet, but I’ve only been doing it for 5 years or so...

Any pre-workout snack option is usually good for post-workout, too.

I want one. I might have to set some cash aside as I still have all my SNES games (and a working SNES). Would be nice if I could use HDMI.
