Same, slow runner here. It used to frustrate me. I was always trying to run faster. I’ve since made my peace with it, and now appreciate my long, slow runs much more. :)

I used to do all the fancy stuff, fartleks, sprints ... etc. Kind of more related to my type A personality. But I’ve was not a long distance runner, sticking to the shorter interval type runs. A few years ago something switched, and I decided I wanted to do longer runs. And surprisingly I enjoyed it. It’s calming. I

I don’t have much of a clue of what’s going on with any of it, other than I tune in when Loki enters the scene when we’re watching the films as a family. I’ve always adored Loki for some reason, so I do enjoy the little bits of history/explanation. And thankfully my hubs and son are Marvel nerds so they can explain

I’m surprised that no where here was this mentioned haha (until yours). I mean, I don’t have Trader Joe’s where I am, but chicken nuggets and frozen french fries are just the easiest meal and not terrible for your health ... when you just can’t be bothered. And the myriad of sauces you could use for dipping, it’s a

Oh yes to this! I love fancy salsa! Basic salsa is just so unappetizing to me now.

This makes a lot of sense. I have a very difficult time falling asleep. I could lay awake for hours. It’s very frustrating. I found my solution; Listening to audiobooks. It connects with what the author is describing, it distracts my mind and stops me from thinking analytically. And it almost always knocks me right

Clearly never a dull moment.

Yeah, I have one big furry beast (the other one is beastly but short hair). The only thing I really worry about is taking them out in the heat.

One of my doggos will ride in the canoe. I always worry though that she is going to jump out and topple us haha. (She’s a beefy dog).

I’m not going to lie, I was actually a little surprised by this one. I’ve always taken my dogs to the river and they jump right in. They love it. I live near the mountains in Alberta, and this is cold mountain water. I’m not saying it’s ok to do that, I just always have. And I don’t force them either, we just run

Now that is a mix I’d love to have seen!

It’s the same answer to ‘when is a good time to have a child’. There is no good answer.

I feel it’s mostly very young people who are just starting on this ride called life. Of course, you’ve got some really dense older folks, but mostly it’s the teen/young adult crowd who don’t have the life experience yet to know better.

This was great, thank you! Excellent advice.

They have the ‘list slides’ option now. It’s not so bad.

This was great, thank you. I didn’t know you could freeze garlic to stop it from sprouting! Game changer.

This is how I enjoy running now. I used to incorporate all the fancy stuff, sprints, fartleks ... etc. And although I’ve always loved running, I’m not sure I was exactly ‘enjoying’ it. When I decided that I wanted to go longer for my runs, I realized that faster was definitely not better. And in order to go longer I

Whenever people are new into running, I always tell them - remember, it’s HARD. Do not go out there and expect to run even half a mile. Those people out there running 10 k’s and making it look effortless have been running for years. Your first few times you’ll make it a block and you will want to put in the towel

As did we. It is so strange to think of houses with hallways now. I mean, I’m not knocking it, to each their own! But I can’t imagine not having my open concept.

All true, but also - the village can step in where the parents are lacking.
