Why would they? The smokescreen is a smart play for Marvel. They have DC/WB terrified Thanos will be in it, making Darkseid obsolete for their JL movie. It forces DC to keep trying to figure out wtf to do with the JL(if there will ever be one), while Marvel collects ticket stubs & billions.
