So you’re saying the solution is to make the car, more expensive, less rigid, less practical, heavier and consequently slower still?

But the current logo is old enough to be retro

Because there’s no hard evidence of these shady tactics being used to compile a list, apart from testimonials from the buyers. And I don’t think Jalopnik would want a libel suit on their hands.

Toyota totally has the guts to bring back the MR2. The problem is that BMW and Subaru don’t have a mid-engine car to build it from.

I feel like Fancy Kristen and Frugal Kristen are at odds with each other.

Please, join us old farts in endlessly trolling the comment section. They might even make you an Oppo mod!

Immigrant cars doing the work that American cars refuse to do.

If you have something that needs a ton of work you should know you need to just send that straight to David Tracy.

I traded in my 2010 WRX for a 2014 BRZ in October of 2014, the BRZ is a better driver’s car by a wide margin. The only thing the WRX did better was accelerate and carry people.

I like the idea of a small, nimble and affordable electric sports car. However, part of the Miata’s equation are the slick manual transmission and light weight. Now, we recently saw an electric Mustang with a manual transmission, and while it sounds good in theory, I’m not sure how well that would work in a Miata.

As a Miata owner, this horrifies me. The thing gets 32 MPG no matter how I drive it and the engine noise and operating the shifter are a crucial part of the experience to me. There’s better cars to focus the electrification push on than a 2500-lb economical sports car. Please.

And this was while Ghosn was at the helm

You, like me, are a car person, viewing a truck as a practical tool designed for a purpose.

See, you get it. However, I feel I must be cavalier about it to counteract the ever burgeoning “safety-state”. The problem is that there will never be “safe-enough”, and that is inexorably leading to a state of constant surveillance, likely by an AI system that analyzes our every move.

Even presently, it’s quite

I’d wouldn’t mind sharing my Fiesta ST, but no one I know can drive stick except for two people... but they drive Mustang GTs so are not interested LOL

There’s good boring, and bad boring. I drove a Versa 1400km recently, and it was one of the worst driving experiences of my life.

Had a versa once as a rental car, can’t remember if it was a note or a sedan, but it was, by far, the worst modern car that I have ever driven. Doing an 80 mile commute in one would make me find a new job (or a new car).

Drop 150-200lbs, and put an NA 2.4L that spins to 8k or more while making 240-250hp.

I’d say the odds aren’t good.
