Surely the remote wipe option could be limited to the mail account and its related data on the iPhone.

Rule #6: Don't use 43 slides. Or even 20.

@Crossstick: I'd be wary of using boiling water if you have PVC pipes. And if you have metal pipes then don't pour the boiling water directly onto the porcelain sink.

@Serigei: Perhaps they should include a laser/radar system for measuring the deceleration of the driver's body compared to that of the vehicle.

First-rate choice of music: Led Zeppelin (When the Levee Breaks) and Silversun Pickups (Panic Switch).

@Xacor: Yes, that's basically my point. There's nothing in the US, that I know of, that's remotely as exciting as this one in Holland. Maybe that's because they had some element of public funding, of course, which you wouldn't get in the US.

@Alex Alperovich: Looking at the videotape timestamps, it looks like the M3 arrives within 40 seconds of the Merc. I don't think either driver exited prior to the (deliberate?) collision.

Not sure I quite believe any of this follow-up report. M3 guy blocks Merc in thus doing, or at least promoting, further damage to M3. M3 guy offers to just handle it all through insurance rather than call 911, thus potentially jeopardizing his insurance claim (in the absence of a police report). M3 driver 'finds'

Mid-engined car = low polar moment of inertia = fidgety in crosswinds.

@rg1: That is awesome, and I appreciate your vote. Thanks.

I think this is the kind of (wonderful) thing that probably couldn't happen in the US because we're all handcuffed by safety regulations and, perhaps more importantly, fear of lawsuits.

@mattxdc: That's the ticket.

There should be zero corporate tax anyway. Taxes should only be paid by people. That would put an end to corporate offshore loopholes, would increase compliance (it's harder for individuals to cheat on the scale that companies can) and it would encourage investment in new business in the US.

Damn, I've actually been waiting for this very situation to happen — an incapacitated driver or car with no brakes, and I'm ready. Now I'll have to think up another unlikely scenario to prepare for, such as a semi-naked cheerleader being bounced out of the back of a pickup truck and right into the passenger seat of

@two2tone: I'm not sure what your point has to do with use/abuse of statistics. Plus it's a voluntary recall.

Er, it's a phone, isn't it? I don't see any review of its use as a phone.
