@Mdmrptr: There's a very easy way to find out if it's compatible with Hocus Pocus ;-)

@joshua: To disable caching, goto Config | Preview. Check "Don't cache preview images" and enable live previews. Personally I use the default caching option — I need this kind of tool to be as lean and fast as possible.

@plinkitypluck: Looks like Google has now fixed the bugs related to Outlook address book not opening, right-click not working, and hopefully embedded emails not working. Awesome testing by Google originally :-(

Am I the only person who hates the way Picasa saves edited images? Unlike every other program on earth, it chooses to save the edits to some alternative, unadvertised folder and then confuse the heck out of you — while Picasa shows the modifications, the version in your folder on disk is actually still the original.

Trandrewo, you'll be unhappy to know that the 'right-click no longer works in Outlook' bug has *not* been fixed. Curses.

Go Treesize. Plus if you right-click the column headers in a given explorer view you can then add a treesize column — not 100% sure if that's native XP or a feature of treesize itself (all my machines have Treesize installed) but strongly suspect it's a Treesize add-on.

I have to say that the Google toolbar did nothing useful for me. It just took up space. I now just use the stock IE7 with the Inline Search add-on plus IE7Pro.

Removing the shortcut indicator is potentially dangerous in that it makes it easier to delete programs when you mean to delete shortcuts.

It's a (very) basic text editor, not a word processor. And it essentially serves as a commercial for the author's web programming services. Having said that, it is an extremely slick and stylish implementation and I, for one, am glad that I checked it out.
