His Jetta? I can't remember the last time I saw a guy driving a MkV Jetta.
Cue Adam Savage saying "wulll thayerz yer problum…"
@usa1: It looks like Lion's Gate Bridge in Vancouver (thanks Google).
@Paul Y. thought he was a man, but he was a muffin: It makes me think that Ferrari designed them to break that way to dissipate the forces of the crash.
Back before the styles of the 70s made their triumphant return I thought 914s were just silly. Now I think they're fun little deathtraps perfect for backroads.
I was 11 and 275hp sounded incredible. Plus it seemed to be in the realm of possibility.
@jodark:
At least kids can't start cars just by pushing a button on the key fob… or using an app on mom's iPhone…
I would gladly drive any M3, even the stupid convertibles. But I can't afford a Mazda 3 right now so it's all just fantasy.

I could understand spending $2000 to recreate this car, but buying it completed (if you can call it that) doesn't make sense. Spending $500 on a beater and $1,500 on modifications done myself would be much more fun.
More than once my mom has said she would like a '49 Ford like her dad used to have. I don't think he had the Woody but I think it would be a great replacement for her PT Cruiser.
@GoPadge: Of course I was joking. I wouldn't have bought a VW if I thought it was going to fall apart.
VWs built at the Puebla factory only last 100,000 miles. The ones built in Wolfsburg (e.g. my GTI) are good for at least 110,000. Ironically, my friend has a Jetta Wolfsburg Edition that was built at the Puebla factory (I checked the VIN).
