@FuzzyPlushroom: The Expedition didn't flip. It deflected off my Acura, veered off the road through a sound wall and into a trailer park.

When I was 18 I smashed my '92 Integra in a head-on accident with an Expedition. I got thrown into the seatbelt so hard that it snapped my left collarbone. That and a few bruises were my only injuries though. The front end was completely smashed but the passenger compartment was intact. From the A-pillar back you…
Still better looking than a Sebring
How can you not like this car? It's "just cool"!
This GAG looks like it was made at the Beijing Auto Replica Factory by Peking United Kustom Engineering
@armyofchuckness: and that they use Mac OS 10.5
Hey I like all the cars on this list and I even bought one of them. Kudos to Car & Driver for reinforcing what I already believe!
@bradyb: I've heard you can make Dwarf Cars street legal and I have seen one on the freeway with plates. It wouldn't be the most comfortable commuter, but it would be a hell of a lot of fun.
I saw a very similar scene this morning on my way to work. I think it was a fairly new Corolla. The dearly departed wheel was nowhere in sight though.
I think there is some real PR genius going on here. Join in a partnership to develop hybrid tech (probably letting the others do most of the work) and then keep rolling out concept cars without having to get involved in the nasty money-losing business of trying to actually sell the things. Then they can shout their…
Something I find asinine is that it says "Powered by Ford" on the shroud above the intake manifold (why does it need a stupid shroud anyway? But that's a different rant). If it were powered by Cosworth or McLaren, that would be worth announcing to the world.
@six: No, but it does have a rubber grip to keep it from slipping out of your hand and flying across the room.
I already have something small and electric that gives me "pleasure without emissions" and let me tell you it doesn't cost $850 a month.
This reminds me of the '99 refresh of the '94-'94 Mustang. They took a design that was a bit dated but fairly clean and classic looking and they added a bunch of fussy details and tweaks without improving the looks. At least this time they upgraded the interior instead of changing only the exterior like they did in…
@petersterncan: Yeah they're for lazy people... like F1 drivers
This is great. Now I want to know what they did to the engine to make it put out 265hp/258 lb-ft so I can upgrade my GTI.
@undefined: I'm not a great driver so I think I'm better off with the DSG 99% of the time. I think what I miss most about a true 3 pedal manual is the tactile feel of selecting the gears and being able to control the clutch when launching the car.
That is so totally lame. I mean, a blender? Come on, what a waste. I could be using that small block to power my pencil sharpener.
@armyofchuckness: Please tell me that is Photoshop
I think this must be the iCar the Friedman was talking about. Wow, Steve Jobs does work fast. Seriously I think I saw this thing in Wall-E. I didn't know Jonathan Ive was moonlighting at Brabus
