This reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Frank Gehry is inspired to build an opera house based on a crumpled up letter. Maybe the builder was inspired by a Cougar that got rear-ended by a Speedster.

@dollarvines: Gordon Ramsay (Hell's Kitchen) was on the UK show and put up one of the best celeb times. Now there's a guy who knows how to swear... magnificently.

@Mad_Science: Most treadmills have an electric motor to keep the conveyor belt moving for uh... motivation. Plus you have to put batteries in the little LCD readout that tells you that you've burned 10 calories during the last 45 minutes you spent jogging.

I don't think Syd Mead was consulted on this one, unfortunately. Let's see something positive to say... um... the rear wheels and tires look pretty cool. Are those drag radials?

Excellent! Another tool that could help GM build the vehicle I really want: a RWD Chevy built on the same platform as the upcoming smaller-than-a-CTS Cadillac with a DI V6 under the hood. Or a turbo four-banger. Or whatever, really, as long as it gets 30+mpg on the highway and has at least 200 lb. ft. of torque and

@jarque: oops. photo didn't embed. It was a pic of 3 dwarf cars.

@BanditoGT: My ideal commuter would be something like these, 'busa'ed of course.

Mr. Kart driver you are living the dream. I salute you!

@thatguy01: I think there are a lot of people that really like compact trucks, my dad for example. He drives a '97 Ranger and has no desire to "upgrade" to a Hemi Ram now matter how cheap they get. The Ranger has room in the bed for his toolbox and a 100 gallon fuel tank to keep his backhoe filled up, and a couple

I think whether VW brings this to the US eventually or not will mostly depend on what kind of trade agreement the US has with the country where it will be built. So far the US doesn't have an FTA with Argentina and it's a forgone conclusion that the weak dollar would make a German-built small truck far too expensive.

@WheatKing: I'm not a Honda fanboi, although I loved my Integra. I'm not a VW fanboi either even though I love most things about my GTI (drives great, great interior, has some electrical weirdness happening). My point was that Honda has been successful for a long time and continues to be successful because of good

@WheatKing: Drug dealers need a trunk with at least two corpse capacity.

Come to think of it, I have heard that the Nurburgring has a terrible pet hair problem.

Dyson said he might start getting into cars... I wonder if he hand in this one. It certainly looks like it will never stop sucking.

@jarque: I meant to say "dead end" not "dead and"

@WheatKing: You seem to be somewhat reality impaired. The Accord has been neck and neck with the Camry for best selling car in the US ever since the Taurus went all ovoid and the Civic hasn't been too far behind. The CR-V has sold well since it's introduction and the Pilot and Oddyssey are fairly successful too. The

@SmaartAasSaabr: Kei cars are carbureted? I can think of a couple cars from 1957 that were fuel injected, namely the Corvette "Fuelie" and the Mercedes Benz 300SL. Competition drives innovation in a lot of cases.

I think it's easier for them to put hybrid systems in SUVs because of the bigger engine bay and the chassis can handle the extra weight of the batteries. Of course Toyota has no trouble making a hybrid Camry and Honda makes the mild hybrid Civic so it looks like laziness and corner cutting on GM's part.

Black grill trimmed with red? Should call it the Mustang GTI
