Have they talked at all about how they plan on handling power creep in installments 2 and 3? I’m thinking specifically how you got all the high level magic, for example, at the end of Remake when that was something you wouldn’t get until much later in the game in the original.

Or just folks casually avoiding any spoilers. Sure it’s a remake of a beloved classic, but they are taking chances on the established story beats. I’m stoked as well! Just too many games on the horizon and so little time.

To be honest, I saw the post and was like “is it out already?!”

So yeah, not gonna read anything remotely close to some sort of spoiler

I’m absolutely excited to pieces about this.

Looks like I’ll be picking up a PS5. I know it’s a little silly but I hated the gargantuan size and the horrible shape of the original. So, I refused to buy it. This one looks a good bit smaller and I don’t hate the look of it.

Well, he was under contract until April next year, so effectively they are letting him go four months early.  It is more like he is getting fired, but they are phrasing it nicely.

Seriously. They’re going to end up somewhere else. Hopefully in another industry I don’t give a shit about. Even then, RIP to whoever has to work under him.

Riccitiello and Kotick back on the job market? wonder what kind of disaster is looming ahead.

God look at that creepy little goblin face.

until they announce that they were so impressed with his leadership that they decided to keep him on as a COO and give him a position on the MS board.

That seems to be the long and short of it. The deal has a clause that would net kotick additional money if he was let go immediately after the merger but if he is let go later on that goes away.

I mean it’s not a lot of time for a major position at the company. This is effectively his exit.

Read: we need two more months so that we can find a reason to fire you for cause.

Eh, it’s not exactly a conspiracy theory that executives time dumb, risky  moves like this to coincide with sold stock. Saying it wasn’t malicious greatly underestimates the planning abilities of these parasites.

He sold some stock before that shit show, but it was already planned to be sold long before that. Execs from large companies sell stock on a regular basis following a schedule they need to publish in advance. Can’t quite remember but I believe those schedules are published months before the actual sale of the stock.

This was SUCH a colossal fuckup that I can’t help but wonder if dude shorted his stock before making the announcement
