It could just be me? But I genuinely couldn’t deal with the high-res character models on the not-even-upscaled blurry backgrounds. It was the visual equivalent of nails on a chalkboard.

Probably some weird arcane licensing BS involved.
Yeah, like FFIX remaster is pretty bad without extensive 3rd party support. I’m really nervous about CC on Switch where that’s not possible.
Potentially good product; shitty article. Bad Brian, no biscuit.
DON’T THINK, CONSUME
Considering most of the complaints are coming from people who DID buy the game, it’s not even remotely “Why should Nintendo and Game Freaks appeal to people who are not interested in buying the game?” It’s “We got your money, why should we care now?”
I mean, the painfully short draw distance and low detail absolutely does hinder its gameplay. Also hindering its gameplay is the generally amateur world design (vertical wall mountains lol), and baffling balance decisions (why is Luxio a worldwide infestation?)
Name checks out
Top-tier clue trolling right there. 10/10
Graphics are bad, art design is mediocre, level design is... amateur to put it nicely (the flat-vertical mountain-walls are hilariously bad). It’s like someone heard the words “open-world game” and then set about making one from scratch without looking at any other games in the genre or anything that’s been released…
This is my shocked face
Okay, they can get in the way, but I genuinely love those little rage-shrooms. So tiny. So angry.
Gorillaz aren’t actual cartoons, either?
Exactly this. He’s already in first. Opponents playing for draw will never change that, because of how the rankings work. They’ll only beat him... by beating him. He just wants to have a bigger chessdick to measure.
It’s not, but it’s still hilarious when you can make an experienced opponent fall for it.
Again, no. ELO is zero sum. It’s “I’m already in first, but I want to make everyone else’s comparative score even lower.” Which is fine! It’s a competitive sport! But there’s nothing wrong with what his opponent did, either.
I think you can get another inch or two of that boot down if you try harder.
Sorry, DBZA, I will no longer be supporting the official release.
Comparing it to other switch games, it’s still pretty bad. I mean, BotW was a launch title. Still, I can forgive them that if they’re actually *finally* evolving the series gameplay. It’s only 15 years overdue, but better late than never.
The word you’re looking for is “accurate”
