It was blatantly obvious from the get go that the “immersion” argument was BS, too. They were desperately cutting corners and features wherever they could to shorten the already long-running dev time.

It was a deliberate *time-saving* choice.
I’m perfectly okay with less 9s
I mean the imperium are an absolute bunch of cockwaffles and always have been, tracing their roots back to 4chan. Not sure the alliance is better though.
There might have been a random-reward thing too? A map or something, now that I think about it. There wasn’t a mod to fix the RNG for that last time I looked, but since it killed some runs midway through, that could be a candidate for legal modding.
We get it, you don’t understand speedrunning. No need to prove it multiple times.
They’re probably referring to the battleship game thing. It’s not a mod, it’s an external RNG-calculation device that the player manually puts info into.
This is something that can happen at room temperature without any external influence. Without the temperature trick, the speed runs would still be possible, but would require hours of failed attempts before even getting a single run attempt in. This shortcuts that repetitive boring process.
In your defense, I made the exact same wrong mental jump.
Look at the percentage chart of municipal funding sometime. “Defund” is absolutely the first step. Municipal budgets are worse than the Dril candle tweet.
Look into what the Defund movement actually wants. It’s far more than just “don’t pay them as much”. The cops should not have been there at all.
You’re absolutely correct
In ANY other career, a screwup of this magnitude would have everyone involved fired. Defund the police.
Summer Wars is an all-time favorite for me, looking forward to seeing more of this.
Thanks for confirming you didn’t read the linked article
I bet there’s fewer people doing that than there are people who *are* actively trying to induce seizures in the journalist who reported it.
Yeah, sure, that’s what’s being implied, and not... you know... that CDPR actively targeted this kind of asshole gamer in their marketing.
You mean buried in the EULA with a basic warning that every game for the past 15 years has carried, because “flashing lights” are a generic videogame thing? That’s a far cry from a medical device that *induces epileptic response*
All of the aesthetic without any of the substance, like an empty pie-crust served piping hot on Thanksgiving.
They decided that competing directly was a fool’s game. “Nintendoland” means that a huge portion of console gamers have a Playstation/Xbox (pick only one) PLUS a Switch.
