This isn’t people making angry comments on youtube. Please address what actually happened.

It’s a two-person company. Until Epic came along, they could barely feed themselves, let alone hire a PR rep.

Then skip. Vote with your wallet. That is how this sort of thing should be responded to. Not harassment, deepfakes, and death threats.

Ah yes, “poor tone”, the perfectly reasonable cause for antisemtic deepfakes and organized widespread campaigns against people.

What does the ESA leak have to do with this article?

Pretty sure you’re exactly who Tomacxz is talking about. Someone who had no interest in the game until it became another opportunity to make noise about Epic.

I’ve fallen back on the generic “nerd” identifier, personally. And tried not to get too attached to terms when I can help it (success: mixed).

Patreon is not kickstarter.

Less “policing our own” in cases like this, and more “quit defending the fringe”.

Ooooh  you have no idea on that one. The Yarn Wars have claimed many. (like, I’m being humorous, but not sarcastic, the knitting world can get *heated*)

GOG 2.0 looks to be the combined storefront. Haven’t heard of epic doing it

And fucking none of that excuses a campaign of harassment, lies, and death threats.

And walking through a bad area of town makes getting robbed predictable, but doesn’t make the robbery not a crime, and is a deflection to put the focus on it.

I’m sorry, did I miss a concerted campaign of harassment of the devs against the players?

At least I don’t have to worry about *that* particular completionist impulse in this game. Getting everything is - I think - 4 playthroughs minimum.

Burn your activity points on meals and ignore the rest of the mechanics for easy motivation.

As long as I don’t have to buy a different copy of the game for each house, I’m good with that.

I mean, to be fair... that’s a *deep* vein of content to mine.

I don’t care whether or not we can save Aeris, just let me save Jessie!

Back when I played, admitting Goon membership was basically a step shy of wearing a bright red cap at a political rally. Not 100% damning by itself, but only a off by a hair...
