is it really necessary for coulson to carve those symbols? did they ever explain that? couldn't he just grab a sharpie? seems like a hell of a lot more work

although it does seem like they are possibly seeding pieces of the inhumans mythology, i don't see agents of shield delving too deeply into inhumans territory. i seriously doubt marvel would premiere any prominent inhumans or attilan for that matter on agents of shield. not with their film due out in 3-4 years.
