The virtual restaurant idea sounds stupid at first glance. Who would want to rebrand their own food under someone else’s label and/or stock a whole second set of ingredients.

Still not quite April Fool’s yet...

I still come here to see different takes, but I’m mostly here for Fahey. He’s one of the few here that’s just here to play games as a hobby. Not for the sake of art, not for the sake of money. Just games for the sake of games.

I’m guessing the Endwalker announcement bumped up the relevance of the game.  That got one news outlet reporting on the bans.  Now others are reporting on the same topic.  Pretty much a result of ‘popular’ and ‘relevant’ content getting featured in news feeds.

Did anything blow up like Hearthstone?  I recall a bunch of card games coming out in the wake of Hearthstone's success, but only Gwent and MTGArena are the ones that stuck around.

Switch is self published, and is safe.  PS5 is safe too, although there's no next gen upgrade option because of this kerfuffle.

Assuming others get it at all.  Now that that they're owned by Epic, I expect the games will stay EGS exclusive.  Especially if they're multiplayer.

Pretty much every Battle Royale game needs a way to fill up player slots at launch.  If it's not F2P, then it's usually a PS+ title.  Worms did the same thing as well.

Keep in mind that even with modern looks, the mainline games were still operating on grid based design only till recently. I think Sun and Moon were the first games that let you move diagonally.

One correction.  Destructoid reported that owners of VII R on PS4 would have to pay for the Yuffie episode, but the rest of the upgrade would be free.

You're probably thinking of "Salt of the Earth," which refers to a good or honest person.

Eh, it can go either way. I’d say buy the game for what it is now, without considering the road map.

Deuteronomy 5:21

I still think as long as All Digital consoles don’t become the norm, I think Gamestop will survive in some form. They do need to shift their focus from used game sales though. They can still make a decent margin off of batteries, component cables, and accessories. That won’t exactly draw customers in though.

This was actually a talking point back when the Epic Game Store first launched. As opposed to the 30% that Valve took on Steam, Epic would only take 12%.

Yeah.  Now if Valve added a way to play/stream games from the app, that would be a different story.

Sounds like Apple is trying to say, “Even on PC, companies can be profitable after Valve takes their cut.”

I’m guessing that Squids built a ‘New’ Paris, and modeled their tower after the designs of the fallen one.

I don’t think it’ll be that much of a difference. The decision from Splat 1 just decided who was captured and brainwashed in 2. The decision from 2 just decided if the game’s aesthetic was going to lean towards cyberpunk or wasteland.

I liked the idea of the trailer. It reminded me a bit of the Meet the Team skits used to promote Team Fortress 2. The issue is that none of these guys are actually going to be in the game itself.
