This is the best review I’ve read so far on Last Jedi, and one that gets to the core of the series: it’s iconic visuals. As important as its antecedent influences are, Star Wars’ DNA is Ralph McQuarrie’s original concept art, and the strongest imagery in this movie is a direct descendant of those first paintings.
