I’ve read on here by someone that C/SUVs are considered light trucks and that somehow allows them not to incur penalties on them. I could be completely wrong though.

Perhaps we should require all apps to display a note that shows the recipient the speed the sender was travelling when they sent the message? Maybe we can shame people into putting the phone down? Sorry passengers, you are the sacrificial lamb.

Usually bald A/T or M/T with fugly wheels. They never leave the road and can’t understand why their tires last less than 30k miles. Then bitch because they have to drop another $1500+ for tires. Idiots.

I’d say most treat their full size spare just like a compact spare. If they ever need to use they just take it back off once the other tire is repaired/replaced. My Dakota’s spare is a steel wheel that doesn’t match the rest, there’s that, too.

Bad thing is he truly believes the nonsense he posts here.

Long Voyager makes it a habit of showing us he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

And has 100 more horsepower. So they increased horsepower by 50% and increased fuel mileage slightly, and that’s pitiful?

I’m not debating whether the 3800 is a good, efficient engine. Your comment was that the new engines are overworked and don’t meet EPA ratings and then you claimed the 3800 had better fuel mileage, neither is true.

I meant to correct this post as the new Impala does average low 20s in real world, mixed driving, as does the Lesabre. That’s also inline with what the EPA estimates.

I see. I have always seen, at least in commercials, the different brands advertising their fuels with their cleaning properties without mention of octane.

but it also averages only low 20s for mileage real world.

Cooler than the constant misinformation you like to grace us with.

The current V6 makes 50% more horsepower while getting better economy. The current 4cyl makes equivalent horsepower while getting better fuel economy. What exactly is your argument?

I beat the EPA estimates in each of my three vehicles, years, 95, 2004, 2014. Perhaps it’s the driver.

I’ll laugh hysterically at their expense.

Who advertises higher octane as cleaner?

Which car are you comparing? The 2018 Chevy Impala gets better fuel mileage from it’s 4 cyl option and V6 option. The V6 option also has 100 more horsepower than the 3800 and the 4 cyl has 8 less. The new car also weighs more. A quick search shows several new full sized sedans with better fuel mileage than a Lesabre

Hmm, no they don’t.

Do you think developing higher compression engines is free?

Who do you think pays for the R&D to reach CAFE fuel targets? The consumer.
