This. In my 20's I gave up on finding new music, just set Pandora to bands I liked. I had just decided “I guess I’m an old man now, and we don’t like new things”, but since I’ve been checking Spotify’s Discover Weekly playlist that’s curated for me, I find 100s of new songs I love every year, from bands I never would

Or you could just tell Chrome to “Ask where to save each file before downloading” and then organize as you download.

I live in Minnesota. I always put my old parka in my car starting in November as well as a pair of snow boots, snow pants, hat, and gloves. No matter what I wear, I always have the reassurance that I have a warm jacket and boots in the car.

An old overcoat works to keep you warm, and it will also keep your clothes clean(er) if you have to crawl under your car and wire up a muffler or place a jack.

Don’t get too hyper-focused on your score right now - I know it’s hard to get distracted by it, but focus on the long-term benefit. My method, whether involuntary or voluntary, is to take a week off. Literally don’t do any formal workouts for 7 days. Yardwork, housework, daily activities, all ok.

This is excellent advice. People should apply it not only to their final product but also to the process to get it done. When I first started managing people, a bit over 15 years ago, they focused most of their perfectionism on the actual writing of whatever report they were expected to hand in, now their anxiety also

How to Win Friends and Influence People is a very innocent book with one central tenet: listen. Ask people about themselves and be genuinely interested. The whole book is peppered with admonitions to do this sincerely.

They won’t even have to change her name for the character! They can even work some corny pun into the title and call it something like Patience is a Virtue and have it be about a skating couple that waits too-long to consummate their obvious hard-ons for each other, then when they finally quit their storied careers

Has anyone ever been more destined to star in Saturday night romantic comedies on the ION Network then Tessa Virtue ?

Awesome stuff!! I love these grammatical hints. Sort of like the one for when you use “He and I” and “She and me”.

Hi Snoggler,

So, this seems like an appropriate article to post this... I suppose. I'm curious to know if any readers have had a similar experience to mine, and what they did to break themselves of it; it's vaguely like the above article, but to more of an extreme.
