For anyone with a CostCo membership: consider getting their frozen samosas for pre-meal appetizer. They are unique enough to get people interested, but not so exotic in ingredients that it will scare off anyone at your meal that is extremely focused on what is and is not acceptable.

Frankly this is one of the major reasons I do Friendsgiving. Not because I’m one of the people that complains when I am with family, but because everyone that comes to the social get-together is doing so by choice and all legitimately are happy to be sharing the meal with each other.
