The plates are likely split in the kitchen, which usually means twice the amount of plates and silverware to serve and clean up. Also, twice the amount of drinks to refill and clean up. It’s not really an asshole move to not do this, as I mentioned in another thread, it’s just a good customer going the extra mile to…
The difference between your scenario and the one in the story is that whether you have the steak or the pasta the server is still only worrying about 1 dish and x number of drinks for 1 person. It’s very likely that in the above story the server is now concerned about 4 dishes and whatever number of drinks for 4…
I think you missed the joke.
While I agree with pretty much every thing you said, the snark at the beginning makes you come off like an asshole.
I bartend 3 nights a week at place with outstanding food and drinks, and occasionally will stop by for a bite on my off-days since it’s only a block from my apartment. The extra incentive is to be able to shoot the shit with the other bartender who I wouldn’t see otherwise. I am eagerly awaiting a similar scenario, so…
In my experience the trainees are not tipped, though it’s not unusual for the trainer to throw them a few bucks for the help. It’s generally only your first three shifts or so that you are a trainee before being thrown into the fire, so it’s only going to affect your first paycheck.

The opposite, IMO. You chose a very likable team and it’s worked out so far. And don’t ever let anyone give you shit about how you chose your team. You do you.
Perhaps more infuriating is seeing the tantrum he throws when he doesn’t get these calls after such a blatant dive. It’s not the standard shrug of the shoulders/menacing glance and brief word towards the official. It’s a 7 year old screaming and stomping.

Yep. And pizza bro had it coming. That poor statue.
Post-match report confirms the med staff checked him out and then subbed him because he had been knocked unconscious.
You, like my good friend the next thread up, have no fucking clue what you are talking about.
Oh I agree completely. I hope I didn’t sound like I was advocating simulation, more so just pointing out why they do it in the first place and why this particular case is not one of those instances.
