A brief summation of Sessions’ bullshit:

Off topic, but I think it’s hilarious that a man of Bernie Sanders’...ahem, maturity...is referred to as the “Junior” Senator from the State of Vermont despite his almost 3 decades in public service (more than a decade of which is in the Senate). I’m sure Sanders is just waiting for the day that he can drop that

They should ask him why did he vote against free glasses for poor kids who can not see properly and do not have money for health insurance.

Kudos to Leahyfor actually grilling this fucker.

He’s almost 100% certain to be confirmed. Unless they find actual klan membership in his past, he’ll get through

Mark my words Mr Sessions, you will kick a hornet’s nest and the gates will open and every nasty woman will raise hell. This will be for every witch burned, every inconvenient woman, every woman dead from lack of healthcare access; there will be a reckoning.

It’s a near certainty that he’ll be approved on a party line vote. The Democrats changed the rules and can’t filibuster nominees except for the Supreme Court.

I hope ALL the nomination hearings go like this, with Democrats on the panel calling the nominees out and protesters letting their ire show!

I’ve been listening whilst working, but I kind of loved this logic: the VRA was necessary because Southern States were disenfranchising minorities. But removing it was right because it targeted only Southern States and that’s bad. But the laws being passed now by Republican leaders (mostly in Southern States) aren’t

Good. He will in all probability get confirmed, but let’s drag this fucker through the fire to get there. He absolutely needs to be held accountable for the egregious stances he has taken and things he’s said.

When you say it like that, it sounds like a condition. “Sorry, I was in the bathroom with HORRIBLE afflecks.”

I have a tiny bit of respect for Lisa Rinna because she played Logan’s mom on the first season of Veronica Mars. Not a ton, but slightly more than otherwise.

i’m gonna say it. charles in charge was a weird show and even when i was a little girl i hated it. yeah let’s trust a college student to help raise our kids. um, no.

Is Lisa Rinna aka Lynn Echolls, mother of Logan Echolls of 2004's Veronica Mars a celebrity? Uh, yeah, I would say so.

Chris Pratt says that a lot too. Someone asked if he’ll ever do more serious stuff and he was I’m going to make as much money as humanly possible until I can’t any more and then I’ll do smaller stuff.

The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification.

Absolutely- I consider this the Lisa Rinna way! She’s the only actress I’ve ever seen say “I will do any job that pays me insane amounts of money”. It’s actually so refreshing to hear a celeb say that.

On a (tangentially) related note: anyone catch how the camera zoomed in on Matt Damon when Tracee Ellis Ross mentioned women of color in her Golden Globes acceptance speech? Those awards show directors, they’re not dumb!

If I were famous I’d make every dollar possible as quickly as possible. Never know when it’s all going to go away and you’ll end up with the RNC being your biggest gig in 10 years

Ugh, Afflecks.
