I want to go to there.

It seemed super Monterey to me.

Question: Why did there need to be some big murder investigation and why did everyone need to lie? A guy started attacking, a bystander pushed him away to defend the victim. Why do they all have to pretend he just fell?

    Okay then.

LMFAO. You’re pointing to a difference of 3 weeks parental leave per child (6 weeks for the parent who gives birth; 3 weeks for the parent who doesn’t) — an event that might happen once or twice in a 40-year career — to claim that women don’t work the same hours as men? So for 3 kids you’re pointing to 9 weeks off in 4

    Nah.

You certainly can spout off! Why, you’re an absolute scholar.

You’re right. There’s just one science and there’s a guy who knows all of it.

You can Google it. But again, if you think women engineers don’t work the same hours as men, you’re not in the industry.

That really doesn’t elaborate on your claim. Who targeted him? What did the emails say? Where’s the harassment?

I seriously doubt that they are “he men.”

Feminism: Something you’ve clearly never studied.

Typically a panel consists of people who are focusing on different aspects of research and have different insights and expertise to offer.

It’s bizarre that so many commenters are saying something along the lines of “regardless of the representatives’ intellectual qualifications” when the article itself clearly states that all the scientists in the database are thoroughly vetted.

Who said anything about all women on a panel besides saying that it shouldn’t be any more remarkable than all men on a panel?

A database of thoroughly vetted scientists in no way represents equality regardless of competency. A database that makes it convenient for people to contact potential guest speakers, panel members, or experts who are underconnected due to historical discrimination absolutely represents equality of opportunity with no

I feel like it’s weird that people can look at panel after panel of white male scientists from wealthy nations and believe that that represents substance being more important than optics.

Creating a database of verified scientists has nothing to do with any government mandates. Or wages, for that matter.

It’s not at all ridiculous to create a database of thoroughly vetted scientists to speak to the public on scientific matters. Those scientists don’t necessarily need to be white men from wealthy countries.

I mean, isn’t that exactly what featuring only white men from developed countries means? That WHO delivers the message is MUCH more important than what the message is?
