I stopped watching the election results and played some Stardew Valley. It was nice to retreat to a world where I still feel in control.

I would also like to suggest Stardew Valley. The multiplayer mod is more than passable and the soundtrack itself is my happy place.

Yep, as the election went off the rails last night, I turned it off, and turned on the Slow TV shows on Netflix (the one that’s just a 7 hour train ride across Norway), Wrapped up in a blanket, put on an audio book, and played some Animal Crossing New Leaf and thought about what was good in life.

Since I was still in elementary school it was hard to relate to anybody or express to people what I was going through which made me very antisocial. YUP. I took a Xanax because I couldn’t stop pacing my house, put on sweats, and have been drinking coffee and playing Far Cry 4 for hours. Not the most peaceful game but I need to not just scream at everyone I see and this helps.

Animal Crossing is not my jam but this is a very good idea. What is everyone’s comfort game? I currently have Mafia 3 all queued up and ready at the top of my backlog but after the KKK’s pick for president got elected I’m nope the fuck away from that waaaaaaaay too close to home.

Yeah. Honestly, today we all need our comfort games, or whatever media we consume. In my case, it will be some Diablo 3 later. Maybe some Pokémon.
