I still have too much residual Kylo Ren distaste to be enthused about the crossguard. I’ve gotten significant use out of every other stance, though, and I want to spend some more time with dual wielding. Cal slices, he dies, he makes Julienne fries!

Personally, what I’m burned out by is fandoms being so willing to ignore, at best (and throw under the bus, at worst) every female character out there for daring to get in the way of our personal fixation on Hot Boys Boinking, and then defending ourselves against any criticism or skepticism about this by yelling about

Say it with me: lore is not story.

And yet here Blizzard is, going back to having BlizzCon in person again, at what’s clearly the BEST possible time.

That video’s blocked in the US, is the problem. Peacock had streaming rights here (and as near as I could tell, you had to pay for it), so most of Eurovision’s YouTube videos don’t work.

Yeah, you can just walk right up to it. It’s a public park. I didn’t even try going into the offices, though, because that’s obviously a much different story. :)

The length of that walk was absurd, but...bwahah.

The last chunk of gameplay footage from Starfield I saw, it was a whole lot of shooting in depressingly gray landscapes and then there were some conversations that still followed the same old Bethesda model of “now you will stare at a creepy talking mannequin.” How are we still here?

I got Jedi Survivor on PS5, and here’s how my first crack at it went:

If I have one expectation of games made by a company named Respawn, it’s that nothing will stay dead for long.

I had a different experience with it. I played the first game on PS5 and bumped the combat difficulty down in large part because the reload times if you died were so freaking long. I hope they’ve streamlined it here.

All I ask for is a clear plastic poncho like the ones you get in theme parks when it rains or if you’re in the first few rows of a messy stage show.

I admire the savvy and sheer determination that goes into developing speedrunning strats, but I admit I also burst out laughing at, “Attempt after attempt, he mindlessly drove into the wall. Bonk...after bonk...after bonk.”

Now playing

Critical Role did that once. (It was three years ago, before the vibe around HP as a whole got as fraught as it is now, but the mashup is still pretty entertaining.)

This reminds me of how I’m feeling about the new sign in front of my condo complex. I’m glad the damaged sign was removed, I’m very glad the flimsy temp sign is gone, and I’m glad the new one is sturdier and reasonably easy to read, but...oh, god, it is the MOST BORING FONT EVER. It’s like no one bothered to replace

I’m thinking mouse legs with big squeaky shoes walking Cinderella’s castle out of the park, Baba Yaga-style.

I bought my original PSVR in the bundle with Gran Turismo and a camera, and it was on sale at that point for $250. Even though I had to get the controllers separately, it was kind of a steal. The new one’s harder to financially justify right now.

I’m getting the sense that you think downtown LA sucks.

It seems apparent that fire is the only element that can actively harm more than its opposite element

Might have to check out the competitors for that.  https://www.polygon.com/23654998/tetris-movie-alexey-pajitnov-henk-rogers-reality-vs-fiction
