They can *write* songs, They just can't perform them or let anyone listen to them on the radio/internet, because that would mean they are making money off of them, which is evil.

[MALEGAZE]Good God, who let her wear that outfit? Or worse, chose it for her?[/MALEGAZE]
Beats working.
My God, is Circus Circus still there? We passed through Vegas a couple of times when traveling out west when I was a kid. I spent two incredible evenings in that arcade. It was bloody heaven.
That is not dead which can eternal lie…
Arguing about movies is is sort of the point of this website.
There is a solution, but one that only makes it worse. If I recall the book correctly, the Narnian army which marches to the relief of Archenland has quite a few humans in it. Where did *they* come from? Colonists from Archenland? Refugees from Calormen (not likely, since they are supposed to be white)? Or those…
An interesting possible solution. With added benefit of watching the "Heimdall is a ni-BONG?" people's heads explode all over again.
Forgot that aspect. so, which is worse: Whitewashing the thing, or leaving in the Ambiguously Brown People Who Are Mostly Evil?
My beef was more with the all-encompassing nature of "these movies". LWW was perfectly decent and well-received. No argument about the others falling off in both box office and quality.
Hey, you forgot that one of the heroes is actually also Arabic looking. Though she is kind of a bitch at first…
Upvoted strictly for the title.
I do wonder what the heck they would do with "A Horse and His Boy". Easily one of the most cinematically inclined books (great scenery — deserts, mountains, an exotic city — chase scenes, an epic battle, a bit of a love story, a scrappy female character, etc.). Too bad about the racism.
I think Wardrobe did all right. 76% fresh, with a gross of $745 million worldwide.
How about a wig?
If the director's record holds, the first movie will be entertaining, and the second…okay but flawed.
This statement is exactly correct. The songs comment on the action more than they move it. They serve as accents to the powerful book. The song "Fun Home" itself was a delight. The rest were fine.
That's a fair point about insulting people, but I at least will still say Sarandon can fuck right off. She actually used the "heighten the contradictions" line in an interview. That's just looney toons. Hell, she'd be one of the first people shot if there was a real revolution.

This guy was at a con I was helping out with. He got up on our meeting table and did a brief strip-tease tease. Then he headed out to party and (allegedly) get really wasted.
Hank looked and acted a LOT like my dad. Oddly enough, my dad also worked for a natural gas company. He did not sell accessories, however.
