I have a feeling the experience she went through will have an effective influence on future events still.

I dunno I think this is a case where super fans just need to chill and not let their fan theories become their expectation. Besides I'm sure there's plenty of room on the Internet for your own GoT fan-fiction fantasies to find an audience.
I wanted to stare at a black screen and hear the magic of the sound FX department do its thing. Ou know, banging trash cans, crunching celery, etc.
I think it's a matter of filming time as well. We see what happened when they tried to rush a sword fighting scene in Dorne (Jamie and Bronn in the gardens, remember?). It was a mess, and they probably learned not to do it if it couldn't be done properly.
Just imagine how many of these plot messes would have been avoided if the characters had cell phones!
I agree I found it to be a powerful episode myself. I think some people build up so many extravagant plot lines in their heads that they forget to just let the show play out and enjoy the ride sometimes.
I just hope this puts an end to commenters trying to imitate Jaquen in their comments. "If a girl" this and "no one" that. Good riddance!
Everyone just assumes Jon Snow is going to win. I sure hope so, but his death and resurrection seems to have taken some of the wind out of his sails. He's not the same inspirational figure he once was thus far. Ramsey's just the type of sneaky bastard (pun intended) to slip through yet again anyways.
Did I just see a few bandages and some hot stew can heal stab wounds to the gut?
Yes , the Mountain crushing someone's head is so outlandish!
"Battle" also doesn't mean someone dies. I've been "battling" obesity for years and we're both still alive and kicking.
Don't forget child murderer!
Littlefinger will die locked in a "yo mama" style battle with Varys. It's the only way.
Or he somehow rapes himself! The irony!
How the F do you notice something like that???
He must die!
Unfortunately…yes.
Wasn't it just a jousting battle that Loras won? I think it is a totally different playing field on foot with swords, etc.
There's YET ANOTHER theory that Arya and the Waif are the same person just having a representative psychological battle of sorts. Kinda explains why a blind woman was beaten mercilessly in broad daylight for days with no one noticing.
Like Choose Your Own Adventure? Will the episode pause mid-battle while the viewing audience votes for the next swordswing via text message?
