It’s terrible that I get excited now when bad things happen, because I know it’s going to be a great video on Monday 🤣😭

Which is why I was a bit surprised and more than a little concerned. I appreciate the responses though and I apologise for tarring you with the same brush. I might sound angry, but at heart really I’m just sad.
Couldn’t have happened to a nicer girl...
Except, they’ve made and written good games before. Games that aren’t coookie cutter Ass Creed’s or Far Cry’s. If you think this is a good move, then clearly you’ve not been around the game industry for very long. That or you are obliviously positive regardless of the mounds of evidence in front of you.
That’s mostly what pushed me to comment. I would’ve much rather have read that first, than put my tin foil hat on. But it’s getting harder to take off every day.
“Disney no doubt wants me to use this free advertising space to promote...”
The benefit we have there is hindsight.
The takeaway:
It’s basically just Prey and Homefront: The Revolution all over again. At least those games didn’t need to achieve much. This one, however, has a lot of eyes on it.
Yeah, firing the guys in charge and writer will really help... you know, think of all those bugs they can fix without them now! Or the problems with core elements and gameplay loops, they’re definitely down to just those two guys!
The chances of a really good Jimquisition just went up massively though. At least I know which horse I’m backing!
Only two things spring to mind that haven’t already been said, here or elsewhere.
I’m not sure anything will make it through the human shield wall he has, but I wonder when people will start demanding a name change because it’s considered cultural appropriation and insensitive.
It’s not an argument, it’s an instruction. You can use Google right? Considering this website reported on the hacks and they were pretty big news, I didn't consider a link necessary.
First:
These are far from the biggest names guilty of this and more. But you know, they’re sponsors so...
Absolutely. I hear that business people aren’t as fond of him though, but what’s bad for them is good for us so yeah. They’ve still got a long way to go in my eyes though. They’re still making the most incredibly minds bogglingly stupid decisions for such a powerhouse. Games only on Windows Store and Xbox services,…
Exactly. Add to that the settings page being much more granular and easy to navigate, as well as some other usability bits and bobs and it’s hard to believe Microsoft made this 😅
After reading this, I was hoping somewhere you would’ve mentioned what you settled on as some of these purchases are things I'm considering (the mic, mixer etc especially). Would love it if you could update it with an addendum that included the “specs”.
