Counterpoint: This is a great accessibility option for the multitudes of games that popped up over Zoom during the last few years.

Sure, Roll20 exists. But also the learning curve for it is HIGH and it makes perfect sense for Wizards to want to creep into that market.

My weekly in-person DnD game went virtual at the

Most D&D games aren’t deep... It’s about adventurers doing stupid shit, getting in situations way in over their heads, and getting treasure.

Honestly I am not sure why everyone is hating on this trailer. It looks fun. It looks like they have actual D&D monsters. Chris Pine is a bard!

Uh, I’ve played in more D&D campaigns than I could count and “Hope you like classic rock, because it’ll likely be another skin-deep thrill ride more suitable for a theme park” pretty much sums up Dungeons and Dragons. Most D&D games aren’t deep, introspective, philosophical, high-brow literature and this movie (if the

To your point, I’m pretty sure your average D&D campaign would make for an awful movie. The idea that LOTR is somehow a D&D substitute completely ignores how much D&D has diverged from it since its inception - like yeah, they both have elves, dwarves, etc. but D&D goes quickly off the rails from there by comparison.

How ‘bout that co-op campaign?

The cartoons are pretty good IMO. Clone Wars starts slow and a bit rough but eventually starts telling mini-stories over four episodes that are entertaining and add depth to characters. Rebels also starts slow but gets better and better. And Bad Batch is solid from the get-go.

If your gut reaction to this is to get defensive (like many people in the twitter replies) then it might be time to start examining your personal bias.

It takes the barest minimum of human decency to allow a queer person to live their life unharassed. It costs nothing to simply leave them alone. To not say something cruel or nasty and instead mind your own business.

Somehow, that’s still too much to ask for so many, not just in the gaming community, but on the planet

I never thought the Commando was the DMR, I thought of it as a significantly nerfed SAW. Because... that’s clearly what it is.

They should hire me to look through all the reports and give me absolute authority to ban as I please. I’ll clean things up.

Yeah, it’s not much fun to just sit in a known suicide spot just to jump as soon as somebody shows up to take the ball on rotation, but I have definitely been known to try to get the ball out of bounds if I know I’m dead and it’s an option near me.

It’s a video game blog and they are writing about their experience playing a very popular game.

Still a legitimate complaint, some people prefer solo

I’ve seen this as far back as H3 and have used it myself , although more as a ‘if I can’t have it, no one can’ measure :). The randomized spawn points seems like the easiest and most reasonable solution. I’m surprised 343 randomized CTF spawn points but not this.

I wonder how much of this failure is because of the actual quality of the adaptation, and how much of it is because people didn’t even bother to check it out. Otakus are already so adamantly against anime adaptations that it’s a wonder why Netflix even bothers. Was there ever a market for this kind of show, or was it

Yeah, the chemistry between the three leads is what I liked most about the whole thing, and I’m in the minority of people that actually liked the show. They all did a great job.

Same, while I didn't like every decision it had a great main cast with fantastic chemistry.

damn, I actually really liked it.
