I have a very irritating allergy to sulphites which are present in about a zillion foods. The worst reaction I get is from wine, so if I book at a “nice” restaurant I always ask if they have preservative free wine (if not can I bring my own). I am sure I look like a jerk but I really don’t want my tongue to swell up…

This is Australia so I will give you a heads up - we have an AWESOME Spanish place in Sydney aiport called Movida. Jamon, anchovy toast, manchego and lots of good red wine. Also get a baguette w manchego and jamon to go and watch everyone look at their plane food with disgust.
