I think the issue is that they’re all driving on the wrong side of the road.

It’s fine? Jessica and Leto are played by appropriately aged actors and it’s very normal to cast a person in their 20s to play a teen. I don’t understand why this is even an article, are you guys running out of things to talk about?
“I will dismiss any post that that blindly states that drivers deserve it”
I have not read Dune!
I say spill it.
Yeah, I’m sure that is part of it; but I think the bigger part is that the rate drivers are actually held accountable for when they hit pedestrians, cyclists, other cars, buildings, etc is just plain old laughably low.
That’s because you’re a peon and not rich and well connected.
The top 1% of Americans hold ~34% of the wealth. They’ve obviously done a very good job building wealth despite “not holding enough votes.” Compounding this is that these are the people most likely to be hiding wealth in offshore accounts.
Then why are tax rates half of what they were 60 years ago?
Per NPR this morning, “The tax proposal would apply to just about 700 taxpayers.” Unless you are one of those 700 I wouldn’t be too worried.
First they came for the billionaires, and I said “hell yeah” because I wasn’t a billionaire.
Oddly enough, as a regular person with a regular job, I pay quite a bit of my income in taxes, percentage-wise. Somewhere to the tune of nearly 30%, between federal and state (not including sales, etc.).
Sad thing is, they’ll keep making money, regardless of what happens.
“traditional sales where 90% of cars are sold at a discount”
So, mark it up so they can be sold at a discount. This is the crap people hate with dealerships. Just give us the final price.
Yes; why are you making it sound like everyone paying the same price is a bad thing? That’s how everything else works. What you pay for bananas in the grocery store doesn’t depend on your research and negotiation skills; why should the price you pay for a car?
2. He has college aspirations. What part of that don’t you understand?
Or like Tesla and direct sales of cars where everyone pays sticker and not like traditional sales where 90% of cars are sold at a discount?

100% this. How much future business did they flush down the toilet in order to get +/-$10k upfront? It’s insane, yet it happens all the time.
