I say this as a dyed-in-the-wool environmentalist: at some point, we need to get people who don’t give a shit about the environment to also buy EVs. We need to get everyone (or at least most people) driving vehicles that aren’t powered by fossil fuels if we are to have a hope of preserving at least some of the Earth’s

What is it like, soaring so far above the rabble while also being inside of your own ass?

Question, will you get the vaccine when it’s released before the election? Every Democrat I know have all the sudden become anti-vaxxers overnight because they somehow think Trump personally created the vaccine, which contains bleach. It’s so much fun sitting in the middle of the fence, all you people are whackos on

I think this is spot on.

I mainly think this is going to continue in phases. For a lot of America, it isn’t even real yet. And that should be a good thing, but the trend has been that places aren’t issuing stay at home directives until it arrives. Only 30 states have issued these types of directives.

Elon is like a technically-savvy Trump that cares about the environment.

Agreed. Both uber-successful businessmen, both billionaires, both household names, etc. - those are terrible similarities. Perhaps someday they’ll reach the status and success level of “Dave”, random internet commenter.

So a Land Rover Discovery??? I thought Ford and Land Rover parted ways?

The problem was that Blackberry failed to adapt when the market was shifting from a personal email device to a personal computing device. If anything, the Prius is the Blackberry of cars. It set the pace for hybridization and was a leader in green energy.

“Will the “industry” get there before the rapid increases in hydrogen and fuel cells make it pointless?”

The EV market is going to be controlled by 3 things: Brand Recognition, Technology and Range.

Tesla currently holds all 3 cards in their hands. Tesla is the most recognized name in the EV Auto industry. They’ve surpassed all other smaller market names and are now challenging “The Big 3" with direct to consumer sales

leave it to GM to be two decades behind itself.

My great uncle’s (on my mothers side) Toktok has 4,000,000 miles and he’s only replaced the windshield wiper once. I’ll stick to cars that don’t fall apart.

Because I like camaro’s and haven’t owned it long enough to put that many miles on it. My dad, however, has been towing stuff with his colorado for 10 years no issues, just regular maintenance and a flat tire.

Funny, my 2018 F150 has 23,000 on it and has been in the shop multiple times and is being Lemon Lawed as we speak.

I wish my tires lasted 30k reliably.

There was almost no maintenance before 100k miles. The only items were tires, wipers, and broken AC. That’s significantly less than most cars within the mileage range most cars are owned.

Wow! No oil changes, trans fluid flushes, coolant flushes, lubrications, or any standard maintenance! It’s too good to be true! ...probably because it is and either you’re lying, your dad is lying, or this truck is the holy grail of ICE vehicles.

Must be a Toyota otherwise thats a load of bullsh!t
