They might not be the most fleshed out characters, but I think Ellen and Jo were definitely strong female characters. Yes Jo was a sort of love interest, but she wasn't a damsel in distress or overly sexified imo.

PB treats the Candy Kingdom like her own personal Sim game, doing whatever she wants and using her citizens as cannon fodder and test subjects occasionally. Just because she clones replacements I wouldn't call that benevolent. I'm starting to thing she is the ever rare True Neutral, totally absorbed in her own

Animaniacs was my favorite cartoon ever until Avatar: TLA came along.

Of course, I guess I did sound a bit misogynistic, but that wasn't my intent. I just meant it was unlikely they'd pay to make a second/female model just to have it do the exact same job as the existing/male model. More likely a female model would be created beautiful and used as an intelligence gatherer, which would

If you like Fringe, you should check out Alphas. Most unjust cancellation since Terriers.

If the future is anything like the present and african-american communities are still more heavily targeted by police, I can see why they would want a black robot cop to keep up appearances. But by that same token, you'd think they would want some female robots for interviewing abused women and going undercover.

While I'm on board with the fact there should be some female MX units, I disagree with the fact that there should be more male sexbots. Most male prostitutes service male clientele. Since only about 10% of the population is gay, and half of them are female, there really wouldn't be a huge market for male sexbots.

Agreed, I come here almost everyday to check out at least the Whats on Tonight article, and I had a bitch of a time finding it today. This new layout is just horrid.

Ugh, that makes me dislike him even more. He's the least talented person on his own show (like Jerry Seinfeld) but without having clawed his way up the stand up circuit to earn it (like Seinfeld).

Agreed, from the front it definitely bumped him up a couple points. In profile he looked like a comic book villain though.

I cannot see them pulling off the Laurel to Canary transition. Where would see get all the training? We've seen her kick a bit of random thug butt with her women's self defense course style moves, but she could never go against League of Assassin members or China White/Bronze Tiger.

I think Ali G is the best thing Cohen's ever done, and a lot of people haven't seen it so this could do okay. The Buzz Aldrin bit is great, but I like his interview with a DEA agent even more: http://www.youtube.com/watc…

Edelstein still looks pretty damn good. Maybe not escort on West Wing good, but I certainly wouldn't change the channel.

One of the prestige networks should do a 3 season adaptation of the His Dark Materials series. Armored polar bear fights, plus they wouldn't have to tone down the anti-religion stuff like the movie did.

Except Hannibal isn't looking for someone like him, he wants someone who can understand him, which is why he's attracted to Will's super-empath ability.

So I guess we're to assume Hannibal gave Will the encephalitis? Its pretty rare to see such an advanced case, especially with no other symptoms (syphilis, meningitis, etc). However Lyme disease can cause it, which Will could have picked up in the woods during Garrett Jacob Hobbs. Its an interesting turn after Hannibal

I agree on the nitpicky "Old Man and the Totem Pole" stuff. As I was watching the episode I thought "Maybe he had a pick up truck with a winch on the front, then came back and swept the beach to hide the tire tracks." That was more then enough to assuage my cognitive dissonance and get on with an awesome piece of TV.
