Had a 2006 Passat. Engine light would come on and go off, they claimed it was $1000 filter replacement job. That one got totalled in accident. Enter 2012 Passat. Same issues. Engine replaced.

Yeahh, except I got the diesel Jetta to try to avoid the gas engine issues I saw with two of my parents Passats... Not really sure I want a non-diesel VW.
