Funny thing, I had one of those engines(pulled from an e24) that I considered putting into my e24 race car. Our team decided that we didn’t have the skills/time to deal with a turbo motor in a race car, so we sold it. We later upgraded to the M30B35 motor.

I so want one of those (e23)... they pop up now and then, but the damn things sell within hours.

That last part is everything. The way I see it, you have two options in life - become a mechanic, or buy many drinks for one that is a pretty decent guy/gal.

That is set up perfectly to add more spooly noises and fuel! Handling 16lbs on stock internals is proof of that! Easy to tune and overbuilt from the factory just doesn’t happen on new cars anymore. It sounds like an awesome car and definitely worth the ownership hassles.
