Personally I would demand it be replaced with the solid silver Spirt of Ecstasy rather than a traditional one... if I’ve already paid for an option I might as well get one of a similar cost.

When my cheaty diesel TDI broke down 800 miles from home I ended up abandoning it at a relatives house...

I knew this was possible, but I’ve never seen the replacement strips sold in stores.

Any “part time” opportunities? I’ve got stories, but I’m lazy and unmotivated (and also employed full time)... so churning out multiple stories a day or even week wouldn’t be possible.

It’s sideways because for a long, dark, period of time GM insisted almost every car should have a sideways engine.
