It’s not really a performance or enthusiast engine but the GM 3800 should get a mention here for being damn near indestructible.

I do this too.

I believe, but may be wrong, that some of the issues with Tesla’s battery swap experiment were:

A cammed LS1 and a 4L60e with a 2200 stall converter.

The best way to make a 1997-2003 Jaguar XK8/XJ8 reliable is replace the engine and transmission with a reliable one.

The middle of March I pulled my LS swapped Jaguar XJ8 into the garage to change the shocks. I figured it would take about 6 hours total.

I didn’t know there was a company that literally manufactured my dreams.

No, I’m saying that the distance would produce an error, and that error would be suspect.... and that error could invalidate the ticket. 485m is roughly 1600ft down the road, which would mean the beam would be roughly 385ft wide hitting a 10ft wide target... which could significantly reduce the accuracy.

I mean, he 99.9% most certainly was speeding, and who knows what was done to the car... but a reading of 308kph taken from nearly 1/2 a kilometer away seems like it might not be the most accurate reading....

Tesla:

I’ll give you a pass.

Just needs one thing... the back window needs to hinge upwards to close that massive hole in the cab

The one we went to was in front of the Italian Village.

So I’ve got plenty of stories about issues with parking garages in downtown Chicago...

That sucks... but eh.... at least it wasn’t a personal car.

They could be repurposed easily, the cells are most likely Lithium Ion 18650 cells, and after the battery pack is used for its purpose there is a healthy aftermarket for used 18650 cells.

You appear to be the winner.

Probably gearing up for an e-Tiguan so they can try to corner the electric crossover market.

Dirt Every Day test drove one for an episode... it tops out at around 35mph due to the gearing and the extra weight.

Any JDM importer (or any person) could import a 25 year old Euro car too. Some do, but they don’t do it as prolifically as JDM cars.
