“Why the fuck is it Doom getting sold a day early and not Animal Crossing.”
“Why the fuck is it Doom getting sold a day early and not Animal Crossing.”
Well said. I couldn’t eye roll at this story enough.
Yep. Can’t really see these companies going “Quick lets build, test, and push an update or config change to disable notifications worldwide because one person on the internet let a robot make them feel bad about themselves.”
You know you live a pretty good life if THIS is what you decide to write an article about while the world is going through a fucking pandemic. Bloody hell...
Just mute your notifications and find a better thing to complain about.
The article began by pointing out that they were in business with companies that engage in fracking practices; that is not up for debate, as the article has made clear.
Wouldn’t most people prefer playing a game that doesn’t have a shit model whatsoever?
I play some mobile games free to play just to pass time, so I would normally agree with you. But games like this are not games that you should be supporting because they are not designed to be played long term. They are cash-grabs designed to siphon money out of the player base as quickly as possible before it shuts…
Now you can go sit your ass in the corner next to Bloomberg.
I for one appreciate getting a heads-up if a game’s developer has a reputation for fucking over their customers/users.
Yeah, no quicker way to keep me out of a game than making me fodder for sociopaths.
My favorite thing about the launch was the constant glitches and bugs that made people millionaires. For the 2 weeks that I played the market was undeniably fucked.
I played the Xbox beta a bit back, and it was okay, not incredible. Kind of Black Desert Lite. Combat was better in BD, but BD is also almost unbearably grindy.

I feel very lucky to get to edit these stories. There are not many audiences that have an appetite for the more niche stuff, but Gizmodo readers consistently show up for them. Yay
Said it before, but I’ll say it again: I appreciate your “hard science” coverage on this website. Really enjoying hearing/learning about things in fields that I am ignorant of.
Have you got your hands on the elusive Sprite Ginger yet?
Yes, if you are voting in the 2020 election and vote third party, you will be giving a vote to Donald Trump.
Yes, I don’t understand how this game still isn’t on a Nintendo platform.
I REALLY loved Midnight Diner. I wish there was more of it.
