Also 2mm x 51mm caliper is not a thing. He is probably referring to two 51mm diameter piston caliper. Also why is David Tracey not writing this article?

The parallelogram brakes also squeaked horribly no matter how much you toe the pads in thanks to all the slop from the added linkages.

Mazda MZR and Duratec 2.5 are indeed same motors.

I did something similar to an old Marin. Except I went a step further and did a disc conversion .The bike already came with disc ready wheels so that was nice.
I designed the brackets on CAD (so I don’t have to sit there and file a store-bought one which can be fiddly and tedious), had it laser cut, welded it on and

I used to live in Toronto for the most of my life. People in Toronto seems to know how to drive for the most part. Whenever I ventured over south to New York or Pennsylvania, I always felt the driving getting way more aggressive and dangerous. I initially chalked this to the crappy infrastructure (not only the lack of

How thick should the sheetmetal be?
да (yes)

Seriously, 5500lbs for the battery-less version!

Toyota Yaris or Subaru Outback?

These are what is called stick framing method. Its essentially built almost entirely out of 2 by 4 (which actually measures 1.5 inch by 3inch or 75mm by 150mm for you) with some beams upto 2 by 8 dimensional lumber. It is way cheaper and faster than steel and concrete concrete construction typically found in Europe

Did anyone else think ‘it’s probably a galvanic corrosion between aluminum and something else using carbon as a conductor?

In the old starex, the cup holder was built into the back of the middle seat that folds down and turn into arm rest. Remember these vans are used as 12-15 seater in Korea.

I got a decent chuckle out of this. Here is a star for you.

The Korean government has tried multiple times to stop the production of Damas and Porter for this exact same reason. But then small business owners will rally and production resumes. I really don’t know what small business owners would replace it with when GM Korea does finally stop the production for the Damas....

They have the service over here in Canada too but they are seldom used. In Korea, it’s cheap and easy to go to a bar, get plastered, call a DD. A driver will show up, drive you in your car home, and get picked up by the aforementioned Damas. Hence multiple DDs getting shuttled around in one van.

As you may know these vans are ubiquitously used by designated driver services in Korea. A friend of mine was walking from home late at night when one of these come flying around the corner and knocks over on its side. 6 drivers came out of the van, uprighted it and drove on as nothing happened.

The mighty Damas!
This van and Porter keeps Korea running.

Okay. So where is the new range rover?

Yes and the gents who worked on the Austin Allegro went on to design their first production car, Pony.

To be fair, first gen Sportage can be surprisingly capable. Body on frame construction, proper transfer case with high and low. Rear solid axle. They even made a military version!

This is usually a sign of poor BB shell machining. Usually the threads do not line up (either out of axis, i.e ‘crooked’ or not concentric to each other) or not faced (perpendicular to the thread and parallel to each other). Some types of BB are more tolerant of this than others. For example, external cup BBs are

These were actually two separate pieces of aluminum bonded together to form a hollow cross section. Galvanic corrosion is an issue especially when steel is present (usually in forms of spindle of your pedals)
