lol, I’m cursed to constantly think of evil/delicious foods.

Modern medicine really is a marvel. I’m glad they were able to restore your eyesight.

I think I am going with a pecan struesel topping this year. The family will complain about the lack of marshmallows. I don’t care. I’m doing the whole thing myself (which I want) and making most things the day before, so a meringue probably isn’t in the cards.

AGREED. People have a right to keep their homes how they see fit, but, they often don’t realize the impact on others, even their own children, who would be ashamed to have a friend over and have to live in a disordered and chaotic environment. It is not healthy physically or mentally, and like you, I remove myself

If you have a messy and/or dirty home, I’m spending as little time as possible there, regardless if you are a morally upstanding person or not.

That’s right

To be fair, many people vastly underdo it with the vin and overdo it with the oil, so I bet your dressing is delicious.

Orange-cumin vinaigrette with sherry vin

A little mustard jazzes up any vinaigrette.

I am a Heinz Salad Vinegar fan and so mine is pretty simple.  Heinz Salad Vinegar, light olive oil, garlic salt, pepper...that’s it!  I just use way more vinegar than anything because I am an acid boy.  I could drink it straight out of the bottle like a psycho!

“These aren’t the droids you’re looking for ..”

my coworkers gasp when I proudly announce T minus 10 until retirement when they see me on the 1 or 2 days I have to report to the office thanks to COVID WFH negotiations. Already feels like partial retirement.

At least he would look for help. That’s much better than the boss that won’t admit that he doesn’t know how to answer a question.

I had a CIO that had a bookshelf in his office with a bunch of the “For Dummies” books on it. These weren’t software product books they were things like Software Project Management for Dummies and Service Management for Dummies. A question would come up and he would refer to the book for guidance.

My boss has not learned to share a google doc in 1 1/2 years and all other kinds of stuff they cannot do. Everything is always someone else’s fault.

I was just going to bring up the same dilemma: working for weaponized incompetence. A supervisor that uses their staff as a human shield to protect them from their incompetence coming to light.

It’s not okay if you’ve lost count.  That’s seriously messed up. How long will you just keep getting them?

I have had this on various office and cubical walls since 1993:

I deal with incompetence the say way, whether it is “weaponized” or not:

Here is a very simple method: Microwave the cloves for about 15 seconds and then peel them off.
