He’s replied to my slightly silly suggestions - apparently they tried the Alfa 2.9 but it wasn’t able to meet their requirements, so they’re developing their own engine.

Mr Glickenhaus did indeed chime in - they’re using an engine that they’re developing themselves, because the F154-based V6 they wanted to use couldn’t meet their requirements.

This article is about our Glickenhaus 007 Le Mans Hypercar. Race version. We are not required to build street versions but we probably will. It costs 2mm e. It’s a two seater as required by regulations.Below is our 3 seater which is our 004 which is road and SPX/GT3 legal.

Nope

Yes

High Speed stability. Long tails have less drag.

Good guess

Zero effect on us. We design, engineer and build our cars. We have no interest in spec racecars.

Nope not Italian. Sadly the Alfa/Ferrari engine we were considering could not make the needed output for 30 Hours so we’re developing our own which will be branded Glickenhaus. 3L TT V6 840 HP in 30 Hour endurance tune.

Nope

Exactly like GT1 used to be.

It’s beautiful

That’s cool, but this is the Glickenhaus street car I’m waiting for:

I’d daily it...

Given how small LMP1 cars actually are in person compared to how they appear on screen, it’s probably a lot smaller than you’d expect.

The Glickenhaus story is a good one, hope to they get it done and I can watch a movie about it 50 years from now.

I interviewed Glickenhaus about his films, such as The Exterminator and Blue Jean Cop, many years ago. Nice guy, but it was clearly obvious that his true love was classic cars and restoring old sports marques. I wish him well.

Technically speaking it’s possible for any class to win Le Mans outright if enough faster class cars fail or run into issues (and you definitely see cases where some LMP2 cars will finish ahead of some LMP1 cars), but yes, to be considered the Le Mans Winner, rather than just Le Mans Class Winner, means you need to

looks like he’s building another Toyota GT One.  Im okay with this.

I mean, you could win, if your GT3 car was faster than the LMP1 cars
