A few thoughts.
I'm not sure where you're getting this information but it certainly didn't come from SCG.
That's not a Ford Mk-IV. Thats a replica.
Ours will be GT as LMP1. Our goal with customer cars is to homologate so that we could race as a GTLM at Le Mans, Sebring and Daytona. Our goal is racing.
Those bits aren't the chassis. Those are bolt on ribs that will support CF panels as a Superleggera system.
Engine is not Ford, Nissan, or Maserati. It's a 3.5 L TTV6. Great Racing engine that will be badged SCG developed by our team. The key with our design is high downforce with reasonable drag. CFD testing shows 20 MPH higher VMAX at the Ring with 40 less HP.
Nothing to do with me although I was stuck in the jam this caused in my 8C.
Thanks!
I have a lot of fans at the factory. Top management? Less so. That said these days I build my own.
Alfa 8C. Our Lola T70 is ex Pensky/Donohue and Andy Warhol and won 7 races. Chassis SL71-32.
The Enzo based car is an official Ferrari. Luca, Andrea and I agreed that it's official name is Ferrari P 4/5 by Pininfarina. It is a lot different than an Enzo with over 200 uniquely engineered systems. It's lighter, lower, faster. (VMAX 233).
Nope. I'm happy for anyone who is lucky enough to own a car/cars they Love.
The last Ferrari to finish 1 OA at Le Mans, the 1965 250 NART LM in the Indy Museum.
It will be mid engined very light weight and sufficiently powerful. Around the Ring it will be a Monster.
We started using a TTV6 Maserati engine but received no interest so we went in a different direction. Maserati are still friends so who knows what may happen in the future. As for Ferrari what will be will be...
I like real KERS where you harvest Kinetic energy that would otherwise be lost as braking generated heat. At the Ring we harvested 50HP for 50 seconds per race lap which made us 15s per lap faster YOY. On the road there is not enough braking to harvest meaningful HP so you have to use fuel to produce electric power…
I like both of those a lot but you can't kiss all the girls...
