just look at whats happening now. gay marriage would still be banned if not for the supreme court stepping in just a couple of years ago. being gay, in and of itself (gay sex in private/sodomy), was illegal up until about 2002, and still would be in some states if not for the courts. forcing women to give birth? same.

if they stuck with the racist angle, fewer white women would empathize and watch. white people are like 2/3 of the country. look at how much traction male vs female equality in the workplace has gotten, when there are bigger racial disparities still.

keep the women divided.

they only say sharia to make it sound foreign and obscure that its just religious law. the ones actively trying to enforce religious laws in the usa are christians. if not for the constitution and courts, they would have succeeded.

if it were to happen in the usa, it would be christianity. heck, theyre actively trying to force women to give birth as we speak. we dont even force dead people to donate their bodies to save others. but live women? sure. if not for the supreme court in 2002, being gay (sodomy even in private) would still be a

usa is majority christian, and the christian majority subjugated women in fairly recent history. no point in pretending otherwise.

just say: there are worse comparisons of other things on other topics, so you cant criticize this comparison. go focus on the worst comparisons elsewhere.

how is it laughable? if the constitution and judicial branch werent in his way, guess what would happen. youre confusing comparisons to trump with comparisons to what is possible in this country. just because his hands our bound doesnt mean he wouldnt go there.

thats a cop out. could say the same about not wanting to make a tv show about sexists because it would be a sexist show. most likely, they dumped the racist bit to attract more viewers. there are lots of women in the usa, but not nearly as many non whites.

they failed in that they already had sovereignty, but werent satisfied, and wanted more. main causes for secession were blocking the expansion of slavery, and refusal of free territories to return escaped property (slaves) to slave territories. read their declarations of causes for secession. chilling.
