I think Mr Lynch and Mr Frost are taking the viewers for a ride. They know Twin Peaks has no coherent plot, makes little or no sense, and will likely end (in ep 18) with a nonsensical cliff-hanger. They'll laugh and say "we sure fooled the dumb fans!"

I think this season is a total insult to the original seasons of Twin Peaks. They had real mystery, suspense. The stuff with Cooper as Dougie - it's like some 'zombie Charlie Chaplin' routine.
