Man, the simplistic “supply and demand” answer annoys me. Especially because it is the exact wrong conclusion.

They actively do not want to lease

Never mistake rich and powerful people for smart people.

Depreciation is a bitch. They are basically expecting this to lose half of its value in three years.

This is how Fiat leaves the US again. An inability, or intentional decision, to look at the existing market and price accordingly. In a year, Fiat will say, “Well, we tried, but you didn’t want to buy them.” Which, is both true, and bullshit.

All Stellantis Leases are insane. I sell Stellantis, and we used to do about 50/50 leasing versus retail. It’s not even 25 percent nowadays. Everything we have except hybrid wranglers and ram 1500s are about 200 a month higher than the competition.

What The Hell Is Fiat Thinking”

Just like that “Miata cost” post, it all boils down to supply and demand.  If enough customers stay out of Dumbass Mode and balk at the cost, they’ll either drop the lease price or cease offering the car over here.  If enough dumbasses sign on the dotted line anyway, Fiat should be congratulated for not leaving money

I don’t think FIAT actually wants to be a viable player in the US market.

It makes sense in early drag racing because equipment wasn’t that accurate and you didn’t want to trip the timer too early.  But now it’s just an archaic holdover.

An ‘85 Vette does the quarter in 14.1 seconds. A 2022 Accord 2.0 Sport will do it in 13.9 seconds.

The dumbest thing about it is that the Cybertruck’s speed is pretty impressive. Why they felt the need to lie about it (or if you are some Tesla die-hard, “be slightly misleading” about it) is just odd.  Your damn Lego brick is faster than a car most people consider very fast.  Cool, show that.  Don’t friggen show

You care, porsche envy, or you wouldn’t have read and commented.

ask that question to yourself, because you seem quite triggered over the whole thing. lol

Sure, bud. It’s the Porsche owners who have fragile egos. Not the vapid man-baby who buys entire companies on a whim (only to burn billions by failing by every conceivable metric) and his bootlicking fans.

Who cares? Very clearly Tesla cared since they invented the story ...

What’s more concerning is that the Cybertruk and well many electric cars, are stupid fast.  Like absurdly fast.  Dangerously fast.  Especially considering the types of folks that will often be driving them (dingbat tech bros).  If you see one of these things on the street, give it a wide berth.

“Our simulations showed the full 1/4 mi race would be close but with the same net result, so no need to risk it.”

Those vaccine guys tho......they lose their fucking mind’s when I ask if they went to public school.....they say yes ...and then I point out to them that the government did indeed force you to get a vaccine lmao.....heads explode.

These two jokers feel like the same kind of people who would tell a minority person who gets wrongfully hassled by cops to “just do what they tell you”.
