If the engine rebuilder builds it ‘by the book’ as Toyota claims, would the mechanic use the same ridiculous amount of RTV sealant on the oil pan gasket like they do on the assembly line, which caused this whole debacle in the first place?
I agree 100% and I-10 is a hellscape across Texas. It’s even worse at night, because the deer population loves to hang out on the side of the road. I’ve done several trips coast to coast on I-10
Texas. Because it never ends. Sure Kansas and Nebraska are flat nothingness. But Texas is interminable.

Way back there was an article here on bollard testing. It was for government facilities against terrorism.
Bollards don’t play. If done right there they are about as close as you can find to an immovable object.
