think about the controller how the N64 controller was/is... you grip it normally for the top and you slide down a bit and use it as a classic style.... where as the N64 you use the L/R for old school and the C/R as the analogue style....

it's most likely the same plug the DSi/3DS uses.... remember this is nintendo, they like their own cables... remember how you could use the SNES/N64 A/V cables on each system?

That's why I loved Base Loaded and Baseball Simulator 1.000 for the NES or Tecmo Super Bowl for SNES. Those were games I could run up the stats on.....
