I used to love iTunes. Last major update however brought with it serious performance issues for large libraries. It's almost unusable now- and yes I've disabled Genius and the extra search functions. I have a powerhouse of a system but iTunes spends about half its time showcasing the OS X spinning beach-ball of death.
